All dogs and cats may have water as well as 1/4 of their usual breakfast no later than 6 am the morning of surgery.
Rabbits do not need to be fasted before surgery and can have food and water available at all times. Please bring a small amount of hay or treats with your rabbit to their surgical appointment. This will be offered to them before and after surgery.
Animals must be in good health so if your pet is showing any signs of illness such as coughing, sneezing, runny eyes or diarrhea they will be declined for surgery.
Please bring cats or rabbits in separate carriers. Please clearly label the carrier with the animal’s name and their last name using masking or duct tape. Cardboard carriers may be purchased for $6.00.
If you have vaccination records, please bring them with you. A rabies vaccine is required by Virginia law. If your cat or dog has not been previously vaccinated or lacks proof of vaccination, we will administer a rabies vaccine on the day of surgery for $17. No vaccines are required for rabbits.
Payment is to be made during the admission process. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Care Credit and cash.
