At Anicira, we understand that deciding when it is time to let your companion go can be a very difficult and emotional experience. Pets are members of our families and having to say goodbye can be one of the hardest things a loving family has to do.
As pet parents ourselves, we understand the strong bond between people and their canine and feline family members. Our staff is prepared to guide you through the process with compassion and gentle care to give your pet peace.
Factors such as age, chronic disease or traumatic injury can sometimes inflict unbearable, untreatable symptoms of pain and misery. Our caring veterinarians will only consider euthanasia if quality of life is determined to be extremely low without the possibility of recovery.
If you decide that euthanasia is the best choice for your pet, we will provide a quiet and comfortable place and will make the process as peaceful and painless as possible. You may choose to be with your pet or choose to say goodbye prior to the euthanasia. Please call the office for more information or to schedule humane euthanasia.
Grieving the loss of a pet is a part of the healing process and is a very individualized experience. There are specific resources available through the Association of Pet Loss and Bereavement.
